천안시 불당1동은 22일 새마을부녀회가 시민 교통안전 의식 개선 캠페인을 실시했다고 밝혔다.
새마을부녀회는 이날 천안 서당초등학교 일원에서 횡단보도 정지선 지키기, 전 좌석 안전띠 착용, 제한속도 준수 등을 중점적으로 홍보하며 안전한 교통환경을 조성했다.
정현정 새마을부녀회장은 “교통안전은 작은 관심과 실천에서 시작되는 만큼 무단횡단 금지 등 기본적인 교통질서를 생활화해 주시기를 바란다”며 “어린이보호구역이 많은 불당1동의 특성을 고려해 주민 모두가 안심할 수 있는 교통환경을 만드는 데 지속적으로 힘을 보태겠다”고 말했다.
신영선 불당1동장은 “주민들의 교통안전 의식을 높이기 위해 캠페인에 참여해 주셔서 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 보행자와 운전자 모두가 안전한 지역사회를 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
