천안시는 23일 천안박물관에서 전국평생학습도시협의회와 공동으로 ‘제3회 전국 평생학습도시 페스티벌’을 개막하고 이틀간의 일정에 돌입했다.
이번 페스티벌은 전국 평생학습도시 기관장과 평생교육 관계자가 한자리에 모여 도시별 정책과 경험을 나누는 교류의 장이다.
행사 기간에는 각 도시의 우수 정책을 공유하고 발전 방향을 모색하는 ‘기관장 포럼’과 ‘좋은정책 어워즈’가 열린다.
포럼에서 천안시는 ‘배움과 AI(인공지능)로 일상을 잇는 도시, 천안’을 주제로 천안의 AI 평생학습 정책을 소개한다.
행사 둘째 날인 24일에는 천안삼거리공원과 천안흥타령관 일원에서 ‘제17회 천안시 평생학습축제’가 연계 개최돼 정책 교류와 시민 배움 행사가 함께 펼쳐진다.
시는 지난 2007년 평생학습도시로 지정된 이후 시민 누구나 배움을 이어갈 수 있는 기반을 넓혀 왔으며 내년에 재지정 20주년을 맞는다.
유재영 교육청소년과장은 “전국의 길이 만나던 천안에서 이제 평생학습도시의 경험과 지혜가 만난다”며 “시민 누구나 일상에서 배우고 변화에 참여하도록 배움의 기회를 넓혀 가겠다”고 말했다.

This festival is an exchange venue where principals of lifelong learning cities and lifelong education officials from across the country gather to share policies and experiences by city.
During the event period, the 'Officials' Forum' and 'Good Policy Awards' will be held to share excellent policies from each city and seek development directions.
At the forum, Cheonan City introduced Cheonan's AI lifelong learning policy with the theme 'A city connecting daily life through learning and AI (artificial intelligence), Cheonan.'
On the second day of the event, the 24th, the '17th Cheonan City Lifetime Learning Festival' was held jointly at Cheonan Samgali Park and Cheonan Heungtaeryeongwon, featuring policy exchanges and citizen learning activities.
Since the city was designated as a Lifelong Learning City in 2007, it has expanded the foundation for all citizens to continue learning, and it will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its re-designation next year.
Director Yu Jae-young of the Education and Youth Division said, 'Where roads from across the country meet in Cheonan, now experiences and wisdom of a lifelong learning city meet,' and 'We will broaden opportunities for learning so that any citizen can learn and participate in change in daily life.'
