Cheonan City District 2 held a 'Village Festival with the Resident Assembly' at Aundeuri Park on the 17th, as announced by the resident self-governance committee.
At the residents' general meeting, the achievements of this year's resident self-governance activation project were shared, and the agenda for next year's resident self-governance project was presented.
Buldang 2-dong has been operating village festivals with new themes each year, including Halloween, Christmas, and the Time Capsule Festival. This year, a fantasy village inspired by fairy tales was created, allowing all generations from children to the elderly to enjoy the festival together.
The event held under the theme 'Fantasy Day Season 5 - Buldang 2-dong Eo-urim Han-ma-pan' featured a variety of stages and experience programs including a makeup fashion show, talent shows, and lucky draws, garnering great response. An exhibition of drawing works by elementary school students submitted under the theme 'Our Village Like a Fairy Tale' also attracted the attention of visitors.
Oh Seung-jun resident autonomy council chairman said, 'I have prepared with great care so that residents can decide the future of the village together and the festival can be a time to share happy memories with neighbors,' and added, 'I am happy that we can provide special enjoyment to many residents.'
Kim Nan-young, head of the 2nd district of the People's Party, said, 'I am grateful for organizing various cultural and experiential events for the residents,' and added, 'I hope this festival becomes a place for communication and harmony among the residents.'
