[BAREUM CNB Publisher Alex Kim]  Residents sharing the meaning of resident self-governance, where residents discover and advance initiatives on their own.

Cheonan City said that on the 16th, the Bu-seng 2-dong Residents' Self-Government held a residents' general meeting.

On this day, the general meeting shared this year's resident self-governance activities and formulated the self-governance plan for next year.

The self-governance plan proposed projects closely related to residents' lives in the areas of environment, culture, facilities, and welfare, including ▲planting at Nodaesan Park, ▲a walking event at Seongsung Lake Park, and ▲lighting and improvement of the curved bridge at Chaeam Park.

Residents shared the meaning of resident self-governance by discussing various opinions on the proposed projects and by discovering and advancing projects needed in the region themselves.

It is planned to earnestly advance the local government plan based on the opinions of residents and make every effort to spread a local government culture in which residents actively participate.

Kim Jeong-young, president of the Buseong 2-dong Resident Self-Government Association, said, 'The resident general meeting is a meaningful place where residents think together and decide on projects needed in the village,' and added, 'We will continue to actively reflect residents' opinions to discover projects needed in the area and expand activities where residents can participate directly.'
