The Cheonan City Agriculture Technology Center announced on the 26th that it will operate a 'Special Purpose Customized Healing Agriculture Program' in conjunction with facilities for the disabled.

This program is being implemented to help people with disabilities achieve emotional stability and physical activity through healing agriculture activities utilizing agricultural and rural resources, and to establish a cooperation system between healing agriculture facilities and welfare facilities within the region.

The program will be operated in a total of 8 sessions per facility, linking two excellent healing agriculture facilities (Shusin Healing Farm, Healing Farm Sunsu) and two disability welfare facilities (Cheonan City Nuribyeol Disability Comprehensive Welfare Center, Cheonan Dolbom Developmental Disability Weekly Activity Center).

The main programs consist of experiential activities utilizing healing resources in agriculture and rural areas such as plants and rural landscapes, and are conducted in a customized manner considering the physical and cognitive characteristics of participants.

In particular, it is expected to expand opportunities for emotional stability and self-expression of participants through various healing agriculture activities organized by session, and to contribute to the improvement of social interaction abilities through community activities.

Kim Jun-young Cheonan City agriculture technology center rural guide said, 'It is meaningful that customized healing agriculture services are provided to people with disabilities through cooperation between excellent healing agriculture facilities and welfare facilities in the area,' and 'We will continue to strengthen connections with community welfare facilities and work to ensure that people from various layers can enjoy the benefits of healing agriculture.'
