[BAREUM CNB Publisher Alex Kim] - Consumer Food Safety Surveillance Office and Consumer Shelf-life Exceeded Raw Material Usage and Preservation Standards, etc. Inspections
Cheonan City announced on the 16th that it had completed intensive inspections of food safety for festival participating establishments in anticipation of the '2026 Bread Day Cheonan' festival.
This inspection was conducted to provide safe food to visitors during the festival period to be held from the 17th to the 18th.
The city recently conducted a joint inspection with the Consumer Food Safety Inspection Agency on 53 neighborhood bakeries participating in the festival.
The main inspection items include whether raw materials past their shelf life are stored and used for cooking purposes, whether refrigerated and frozen food preservation standards are met, whether food is reused, whether cooking facilities and equipment are maintained hygienically, and whether hygienic handling standards such as wearing hygiene masks and masks are followed.
The city guided on-site measures to prevent food poisoning and concurrently conducted public awareness campaigns to prevent food safety accidents.
Director Lee Seon-hee of the Food Safety Division stated, 'We have made every effort to conduct pre-event hygiene inspections so that visitors to the Bread Day Festival can enjoy bread with peace of mind,' and added, 'We will enhance Cheonan, the Bread City's credibility through rigorous safety management during the festival period.'
