[BAREUM CNB Publisher Alex Kim] Cheonan City Dosol Library announced on the 2nd that it will operate the 'Reading, Understanding, and Writing Hangul Day' program until October 11 in observance of Hangul Day.
This program was structured as missions including △Stage 1, Spelling Quiz, △Stage 2, Find Hangul on the Bookshelf, △Stage 3, Speak about King Sejong in 4 Characters, etc.
The second-stage mission is to find and authenticate books whose titles are written exclusively in Hangul at Dosol Library, and the third-stage mission is to compose a personal haiku using four characters to experience the joy of Hangul creation.
The library plans to award prizes through a lottery to users who have participated in the project and are authenticated via an information mark (QR code).
A representative of Dosol Library said, 'In celebration of Hangul Day, we have prepared programs that allow people to experience Hangul easily and enjoyably alongside books,' and added, 'We hope this will become an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the value of Hangul in their daily lives and to experience enjoyable reading and cultural activities at the library.'
