Cheonan Middle School (Principal Heo Hae-ryong) conducted the 'Apple Day Campaign' on October 22, under the coordination of the school's in-house weekly class peer counseling committee, to eradicate school violence and foster a culture of friendship and love.

This campaign was organized with a variety of experiential programs to encourage active student participation. The Peer Counseling Division planned and received positive response to activities such as the 'Apple Day Apple Tree Activity,' where students complete an apple tree with messages of love and apology they wish to convey to their friends; 'Writing Letters of Friendship' to express their hearts to friends and teachers; and the '10.24 Minute Timer Mini Game' to commemorate October 24.

'Apple Day' is a campaign designated for October 24 each year, embodying the meaning of 'a day when two (2) people buy (4) and reconcile with each other.' Centered on civic organizations, this movement aims for students, teachers, and parents to practice reconciliation and forgiveness, thereby forming positive relationships within schools.

The student who planned the event said, "I felt shy about expressing feelings of gratitude or regret to friends, but I was pleased to see them sharing their true feelings and feeling closer."

A student who received a letter of apology and attended Week Class said, 'I received a letter I never expected and was deeply moved,' and added, 'I came to pass my gratitude to my friend,' demonstrating the warm change brought by the campaign.
