The list stays newest-first. Playback starts with the latest story, then shuffles ready stories within that batch of 20 without repeats. Next story uses the same rule. Once the batch is finished, playback moves to the next older batch. New stories join after the current story finishes. Once all stories have played, a new round starts with the latest ready story. Pending narration is checked every 30 seconds. Stop ends playback at any time.
